Join our Farm-to-Table CSA and pick up your weekly box of fresh produce on our farm or have it delivered to your home or office in Channahon, Downers Grove, La Grange, La Grange Park, Morris, Naperville, Plainfield, Riverside, or Shorewood, Illinois.
The food we produce is 100% natural, grown without man-made chemicals and completely GMO-free. We share a portion of everything we grow with local partner organizations that provide food to families in need.
Our Farm-to-Table CSA consists of a group of individuals and families who pledge their support through membership in the Bray Grove Farm food community. Members of the CSA become partners with us so that they share in the risks and reap the rewards of responsible farming.
Typically, members of the CSA pledge in advance to cover the anticipated costs of the farm operation through the purchase of a "share" which, in exchange, offers them a weekly box of a wide variety of vegetables and herbs grown on the farm. In addition, members achieve the satisfaction of reconnecting to the land and being an active participant in the movement toward supporting carbon-neutral locally-grown food.
At its core, a CSA offers a shared commitment that is helping to build an ecologically sound agricultural system that focuses on good stewardship and helps protect the land for future generations.
A single full share box (approximately one bushel) is usually enough to feed a family of 2-4. A partial share box (approximately one half bushel) typically feeds 1-2. A full share may have a larger variety of items than a partial. You can expect 5-10 different varieties of produce in each week's box, with middle and later weeks in the season more bountiful.
On farm pick up of CSA shares are on Tuesdays, beginning in early July, from 2-7pm direct from our farm, south of the town of Morris in Grundy County, Illinois.
Delivery of CSA shares to Channahon, Downers Grove, La Grange Park, La Grange, Morris, Naperville, Plainfield, Riverside, and Shorewood are on Tuesdays, beginning in early July from noon-7pm depending on your location on our delivery route. Live outside these areas? Contact us and we’ll see if we can work something out.
Residential deliveries will be left outside your door in a box with a freezer pack in warmer months. Please leave the box and freezer pack for us to pick up each week. If possible, we recommend leaving a large cooler outside into which we can place your produce for added freshness and to keep out elements. We will email or text you upon delivery.
If you coordinate group purchases of four or more shares , we can work with you to set up a drop off site to a single address with free delivery. Contact us for more information.
We understand that some weeks you won’t be able to pick up or receive your CSA share due to vacations and life responsibilities. If you give us a minimum 48 hours notice, we offer you these options 1) have us donate your share to our local food pantry, 2) have a friend pick up your share, or 3) have your share delivered another week during our 20 week CSA season (not to exceed more than two shares a week).
To join, fill out the membership form below, then mail or email to Bray Grove Farm. Payment can be made by check (preferred) or credit card. We will email you confirmation of receipt.
